Bob is a graduate of Denison University and began his career in commercial real estate in 1964. He has managed more than 60,000 multi-family units and 27 million square feet of commercial space in nearly 200 markets across the United States. As a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Counselor of Real Estate (CRE), Esrey has taken an active role in leasing, brokerage, syndication, consulting and, most notably, property management.

Bob has given countless hours serving professional associations locally, regionally and nationwide. These positions include: past president of the Kansas City IREM Chapter, former president of the National Apartment Association, former president of the Missouri Association of Realtors and president of the Metropolitan Kansas City Board of Realtors. Respected for his integrity and dedication, Esrey has received the Property Manager of the Year Award for the IREM chapter, and Realtor of the Year from the Missouri Association of Realtors. In addition, he is a member of several area boards.
Lee is a 1975 graduate of Kansas State University, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in economics. Upon graduation he joined Cohen-Esrey Real Estate Services, LLC, where he now serves as president. He is a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management and CRE designated by the Counselors of Real Estate. Harris has been personally involved in the management of more than 50,000 multi-family units and 25 million square feet of office building, industrial and shopping center space throughout the country. He has worked with real estate investment trusts, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, savings and loans, developers, government agencies, and corporate and individual investors.

In 1979 Harris became a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management’s Academy of Authors by publishing numerous articles regarding the commercial real estate industry. He has written a wide range of articles for The Journal of Property Management, Affordable Housing Finance Magazine, Apartment Finance Today, Scotsmen Guide, Real Estate Issues, and a number of other publications. He was the 1986 president of the Kansas City IREM Chapter and was the Chapter’s 1988 recipient of the Certified Property Manager of the Year award.
Ryan Huffman joined Cohen-Esrey in 2002 as an assistant property manager in the firm’s commercial management division. He was promoted to commercial property manager, responsible for the oversight of 1.1 million square feet of office, retail and industrial flex space in the Kansas City and Topeka areas.
 
Promoted to regional manager in 2005, Huffman was named to his current position in 2007. As the senior vice president and managing director of Cohen-Esrey Communities, Huffman adds strategic planning and implementation, business development, intensive training for on-site personnel and financial performance reviews to his previous responsibilities.

A cum laude graduate of University of Missouri in Columbia, Huffman also holds real estate licenses in both Kansas and Missouri. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management.
With three-and-a-half decades of commercial real estate experience, Carol Smith knows the business like few others. Prior to joining Cohen-Esrey in 1987, Smith served as the area director for the California-based American Diversified Companies, operating over 2,000 units. Smith is the regional asset manager for several multi-family communities in Cohen-Esrey Communities’ residential management portfolio. Her responsibilities include: implementation of creative marketing programs; controlling costs/budgeting; staffing of residential communities; and overseeing maintenance programs

Dedicated to her own education as well as that of her employees, Smith teaches several courses to Cohen-Esrey Communities field staff. She has served as vice president and Accredited Resident Manager coordinator for the Kansas City chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) board of directors from 1989 -1993, and as president of the Kansas City IREM chapter in 1994. She is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) through IREM and holds real estate licenses in Missouri and Kansas.
Connie Boehle is a Regional Asset Manager, Vice President for Cohen Esrey. With more than 25 years of experience in the multi-family property industry, Ms. Boehle brings a wealth of knowledge to her position.

Her current responsibilities include overseeing the operations of several multi-family residential properties, including tax-credit compliance, across St. Louis, Kansas City and Illinois.

She is responsible for personnel, including the training and hiring of each individual. Ms. Boehle is well-versed in the multi-family residential housing industry. Her background includes working with a variety of property markets and sizes, both on and off premises. She has fine-tuned her knowledge of multi-family housing and tax credit compliance management. Connie is familiar with working with State Agencies, Inspectors, and Syndicators for visits, compliance, budgeting and reporting.

Ms. Boehle has a reputation for citing issues and problem solving. She is quick to take all necessary measures to resolve situations for her owners, team members and the property itself. She has positive experiences installing new systems and programs, and training personnel to use them.

In addition to her many accomplishments, Ms. Boehle was named the St. Louis Apartment Association’s 2002 Multi-Site Supervisor of the Year. She is a licensed real estate salesperson, and serves as Past President of the St. Louis Apartment Association Board of Directors, a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) and she is a “Certified Credit Compliance Professional,” designating her thorough understanding of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.
Ruth Cox joined Cohen-Esrey in the spring of 2008 as the Financial Services Manager for Property Management where she oversaw our Property Accountants as they service their properties, keeping the cash flowing and producing monthly and quarterly Financial Statements. Also under her management is the Accounts Payable department and the coordination of Yardi and OneSite Leasing, Rents and Accounting software set-up and continuing education.

In November 2010, Ruth was promoted to Chief Financial Officer.

For the fifteen years before moving to the Midwest, Ruth was the Controller and then CFO at Leisure Publishing Company, a city and regional magazine publishing company that in addition to their own newsstand titles was the official publisher for the Virginia is for Lovers products.

Ruth is a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia. An honors graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a BS in accounting Ruth also owned and operated her own dance studio for twenty years teaching ballet,tap and jazz to students from ages 4 to 40.
Tracy Luedke brings to Cohen-Esrey over 12 years of human resource experience with national companies, in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, car and construction equipment rental, and temporary staffing. As a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Luedke offers a progressive and innovative management style. She is a member of the American Business Women’s Association.

Luedke’s responsibilities include the overall responsibility for all aspects of the human resources department. She received her Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Stephens College, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in business administration. Luedke is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the American Business Women’s Association, where she previously held the office of chapter
Debbie Van Dyne has been a member of the Cohen-Esrey team for over 20 years. She joined Cohen-Esrey in 1987 as receptionist/PBX operator. Her ongoing service and responsibilities are a source of cohesiveness and provides assistance to employees company-wide.

As communications coordinator, Van Dyne conducts all land line and mobile phone activity including cost analysis of the systems. She handles office services for all business units which includes printed literature and promotional items. In addition, she analyzes the company’s supply needs and costs.

A liaison with building owners and managers, Van Dyne is responsible for facilities management. She also handles event planning and employee relations activities. As Office Manager, her responsibilities include the company’s charitable contribution campaigns and events. Van Dyne’s wide variety of duties are essential to Cohen-Esrey’s daily operations.
Mark Fletcher joined Cohen-Esrey in 2008. Mark has over 15 years of IT experience managing IT functions and software projects. He attained a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems and Technology from Weber State University.

Fletcher’s previous experience includes several years managing IT initiatives with a heavy emphasis on web and data domains. Fletcher has also directed IT Project Management Offices (PMO) for clients and employers with oversight for major IT projects.

Previously, Fletcher functioned as an IT domain manager, project manager, program manager, service delivery manager, .NET web developer, and data modeler. Fletcher successfully completed a vendor management implementation with a budget of $9 million; he managed the Kansas City Keane branch office with responsibilities for dozens of clients and over 100 IT employees and contractors; he oversaw several web implementations; and acted as the engagement manager on several .NET, SQL Server, Oracle Operational Data Store projects.
